Imagine if you will... it’s Friday night. You don't want to cook and you had pizza for lunch. What are you ordering? We both know you just said, “Chinese” to yourself! There are approximately 40,000 Chinese restaurants in the United States- that’s more than all the McDonald’s locations in the whole world. And with so many popular dishes like egg rolls, pork fried rice and pan-fried dumplings, it’s no surprise. With so many combinations of noodles, proteins and vegetables, Chinese cuisine is a great option for catered events because it will appeal to people with different dietary needs and tastes.
Most people are familiar with Americanized Chinese food offerings. This would include General Tso’s Chicken, Garlic Shrimp, Beef & Broccoli, Chicken & String Beans and more. Be careful not to order from a restaurant that only serves traditional Chinese cuisine because you might get some weird looks!
Even though these meals are individually packaged, we recommend ordering a couple of extra meals! You never know who might show up unannounced at the office. You can add those extra meals at the checkout page before you place an order even if you use a group order poll!
Many of these meals are not gluten-free as soy sauce is wheat-based, unless they use gluten-free soy sauce. This also applies to anything that’s breaded, like General Tso’s, Orange Chicken and other fried foods. Look for the (GF) indicator next to a dish to know if it is gluten-free.
