Improving our search functionality has been one of the biggest areas of focus for our product team over the last year. And that makes sense! Search is the key to unlocking everything that CaterCow has to offer! We are excited to share all-”moo” features and designs for CaterCow search moving forward :)
The first thing you’ll notice is the design itself. We’ve streamlined it so that you’ll see more menus when you search and you’ll be able to easily find old favorites. Order parameters and any menu filters that you’ve selected will stick and scroll with you on the page so you can easily make adjustments if needed, without losing your place.
You asked, and we listened! You now have the ability to search with text! Once you type in what you’re looking for, we’ll scour our inventory to find menus that best fit your needs. That means you can by cuisine, menu type, individual menu item, or even a specific restaurant! While you’re typing, we’ll also provide some suggestions related to what you’re searching for.
The search filters have also been improved to allow you to filter through search results quickly and easily. You’ll be able to find menus by presentation type (individually-packaged or buffet), delivery radius, type of cuisine and more! Using the "All Filters" tab in the top right corner of your search page will allow you to hone in on all the filter details you need!
Our sorting filters remain in place but they are now a bit more intuitive. The sorting options are:
Last but not least, CaterCow recommendations. If you aren’t sure what to order, we’ll try to inspire you with relevant seasonal/themed menus or menus that we find interesting. Don’t need any recommendations? You can toggle those recommendations on and off!
That sums up the new CaterCow search features! We hope you’re as excited as we are! If you have any questions or feedback, we’d love to hear them! As always, you can reach out to us at support@catercow.com and we'll get back to you quickly!
From our herd to yours, happy grazing!
